Most Expensive Sale of the Week

The most expensive Central Florida home to sell in the past week was in the Golden Oak at Walt Disney World Resort neighborhood. "The Monterey" sold for $3,940,000 ($614/sqft). This 6,415 sqft, 6 bed, 6/2 bath home was a spec home built by Derrick Builders. Golden Oak is a private gated community inside the Walt Disney World Resort.

Accommodations include Summerhouse, which boasts casual dining options, a pool area, fitness center, and family room. Additionally, residents of Golden Oak have access to additional amenities such as the Golden Oak Member Service team, park transportation, club events, theme park experiences, and a true sense of something unique.

The Luxury Market

The luxury market ($1M+) has been hot and cold in different areas of the country. In Orlando the new construction market has driven the major of these luxury sales. Aging housing inventory has high net worth homeowners looking to sell their older home they purchased 10-20 years ago and upgrade to something with more modern amenities.

According to the Orlando Regional Realtors Association, we still seeing roughly 1/3 of the luxury homes being purchased by second (or vacation) homeowners. About have of those purchasers foreign investors.
